EXPLORE AT YOUR OWN PACE

A city, from any angle.

Use your location, search a town, or enter coordinates. A bounded area of real buildings and roads loads around that point.

Take flight

WASD move · Mouse look · Q / E descend / ascend · Shift boost · F capture mouse · Esc release. You can also drag the view and use the scroll wheel, or use the touch controls. On mobile, slide the left thumbstick to move, drag the world with your other thumb to look, and hold the right-side arrows to change height. Pinch the view to move closer or farther. Tap the top bar for location, time and statistics, then Done to return to flying.

About this little world

This is an illustrative simulation, not live congestion or a navigation tool. Vehicles follow connected roads, one-way directions, speed limits and a simple following-distance model. Traffic lights use simulated phases; unlit junctions give priority to larger roads and circulating roundabout traffic. Queues wait for room at the exit. Turning paths are smoothed. Real signal schedules and turn restrictions are not modelled. Motorways carry more traffic than local and rural roads, with weekday morning and evening peaks.

Buildings use mapped heights where available, or mapped floor counts at 3.3 metres per floor. When both are missing, buildings default to two floors (6.6 metres). Terrain uses a coarse grid of real elevation samples when available; bridges are raised and tunnels are omitted. Small buildings can have pitched roofs, and parks contain illustrative trees. Map coverage varies. Nearby traffic and scenery receive more detail; distant buildings are simplified. Up to 1,600 vehicles (900 in lighter mode) are simulated, including buses and lorries. Tap a vehicle or choose Explore → Follow a nearby vehicle.
